LEICESTER have taken an early decision to postpone tonight’s (Thursday) Premiership season-opener against Belle Vue at the Pidcock Motorcycles Area, Beaumont Park.
The decision has been made after consulting weather forecasts, which indicate a high chance of rain in late afternoon heading up to the time of the meeting.
The club do not wish to inconvenience supporters into travelling for a meeting where there is a strong possibility it would be called off close to start time.
A new date for the fixture is to be announced, and the Watling JCB Lions will now kick off their season at home to King’s Lynn next Thursday (March 21).
All live stream purchases already made for the Belle Vue meeting will be valid for the re-staging date.
